Look Local London started with a simple frustration — and a belief that Kensington & Chelsea's tradespeople deserved better than a national directory that didn't know the difference between Brompton and Notting Hill.
Why We Started
A local problem needed a local solution.
In 2023, two Kensington residents — both homeowners who'd had one too many bad experiences with tradespeople found through national directories — decided to do something about it.
The problem wasn't a lack of good tradespeople. Kensington & Chelsea is home to hundreds of skilled, professional, trustworthy local traders. The problem was visibility. The big platforms buried them under sponsored listings and out-of-area contractors.
So we built Look Local London — a hyper-local directory focused entirely on one borough, with every listing manually vetted, and no commission ever taken from the tradespeople we list.
